Accepted articles, listed before publication

When a paper is accepted, the author shouldn't have to wait months for the issue to come out before they can prove it. On a forthcoming issue, Citeable can list accepted articles publicly — title and authors, clearly marked as in production — so there's an authoritative record to point to straight away. It's a small thing OJS doesn't really do, and it matters at promotion, hiring, and grant time.

No full text, no link, and deliberately kept out of OAI-PMH, Google Scholar and CrossRef until each article is genuinely live — so nothing is indexed or assigned a DOI before it exists. But the page is public and stable, which is the whole point: an author can cite it as authoritative evidence that a paper has been accepted and is forthcoming in a named issue.

Held

Held keeps an article hidden until the issue publishes. Listed surfaces it on the issue page as an accepted-in-production placeholder. Advance access makes it fully live and citable now. Publishing the issue brings everything live at once.

“Published” now means published
Promoting an accepted submission moves it to Accepted (in production) and creates the draft article — it no longer jumps straight to Published. The author's “now published” email, and the Published status, wait until the article actually goes live: advance access, or when the issue publishes. It fires once, at the right moment — not the day it was accepted.
